*** Boston Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) — composed of seven agencies, seven municipalities, and a public advisory committee that collectively carry out the federally mandated "continuing, comprehensive and cooperative" (3C) transportation planning process for the region.
*** Regional Transportation Advisory Council (RTAC) — an independent group of citizens and officials charged with providing public input on transportation planning to the Boston MPO; formerly called Joint Regional Transportation Committee.  APT is a member of RTAC.
*** T Riders Union — activist organization that is a core committee of ACE (Alternatives for Community & Environment)
*** The Underground Newton Transit Site — An independent site concentrating on Newton but with lots of links to transportation information all over.  (No longer being updated.)
*** The Arborway Committee — An association advocating restoration of Green Line service on the Arborway line in Jamaica Plain.
